About

My name is Justyna Koziczak and I am a painter and ceramics maker based in London, UK. I got my master’s degree in conservation and restoration of ceramics and glass in Poland, but after moving to the United Kingdom, I decided to devote myself to art. My works are mostly dream-like compositions such as portraits, landscapes or interior scenes. I create my paintings using mainly two techniques: traditional oil paint on canvas and one in which I use fire to paint on metal in which I blend paint and the scorched marks. The topic of my works is mostly a confrontation of a human being with strange, mysterious creatures, which represents fears and challenges modern society needs to confront with.

I want my art to represent a story about all of us – people who struggle, lose and find hope and faith, facing the inevitability of death. All of these paintings are kind of a journey into a world, where not all that is gloomy and sinister must be bad, not all that is beautiful and fine must be good.

I  took part in several art fairs and exhibitions in London,  Italy and World Art Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
